EPICACTUS 'CLOWN'

And finally, Epicactus 'Clown'.
This magnificent hybrid was created by Phyllis Fleschig and registered in 1982 in the E.S.A. register.
Its pedigree is unknown.
The colors of its petals evoke the make-up of a clown.
The flower size is L.
Unfortunately, this hybrid is difficult to grow
(for me and other collectors in France).
Too much sun, and it frequently necroses.
Too much shade, and it grows without necrosis, but doesn't flower.
So you need to find the right balance of light
to preserve it and see it flower.
Numerous hybrids have been created from it.
Most of them are easier to grow and flower.
These are the ones I talk about in my article,
(The 'Clown' family)
