SCHLUMBERGERA RUSSELLIANA

(or ZYGOCACTUS)

(or CHRISTMAS CACTUS)

photo 9/9

taken on: 2016/03/16

The opening is complete. The first picture of the bud was taken on 2016/02/23 and the bud was one week old. The current photo was taken 30 days after the first one.

Thus, the opening of the bloom is complete 5 weeks after the birth of the bud.

All is in conformity concerning the identification, in particular:

1- Blossoming is particularly late for a Schlumbergera, which is normal for this Schlumbergera.

2- The stems are rounded and smaller than those of other Schlumbergera.

3- The blooms have a quadrangular ovary and are actinomorphic, this last point being false for all other Schlumbergera.
