PHOTO SHOOTING TECHNIQUES

Example 3 : two successive pictures of Schlumbergera orssichiana

Schlumbergera orssichiana : picture 1.

diaphragm aperture: F/32

exposure time: 1/60s

illumination: natural light (sunny weather)

comment: The interior of the corolla is badly illuminated since solar light comes from the top; moreover the picture is blurred due to a bad focusing wrongly made on the most remote petals instead of doing it on a zone of median distance.

It's necessary to illuminate the interior of the corolla.

Schlumbergera orssichiana : picture 2.

diaphragm aperture: F/32

exposure time: 1/60s

illumination: natural light (sunny weather) + reflecting mirror which illuminates vertically from bottom to top

comment: Solar light illuminates the stem and the outside of the corolla. The mirror partially  illuminates the interior of the corolla.

This picture is a lot better than the previous one.
