The young plants were cautiously separated from each other ; in order to easily separate them with less risk of infection, the compost must be relatively dry. Not to damage the finest roots, part of the compost is not removed. The three plants photographed here are among the most vigorous ones : each has two stems and a well developed root system. At the base of the stems, the two transformed cotyledons are still present but haven’t increased ; their importance is now secondary.
