SCHLUMBERGERA x 'STAR BURST'

photo 5/5 taken on 18/12/2022

Here's another atypical Schlumbergera with a mysterious origin.

This Schlumbergera comes to us from Japan.

It is most likely a mutation of unknown origin from another Schlumbergera.

This photo, showing flowers at different stages of evolution, illustrates the particularities of this Schlumbergera:

Young flowers are actinomorphic, as in Rhipsalidopsis/Hatiora.

Fully open flowers are zygomorphic, as in many Schlumbergera.

Stem segments are those of a Schlumbergera.
