The filaments of the stamens are pink as in S. russelliana.

This clone of S. x buckleyi is therefore closer

(with regard to the appearance of the flower)

to S. russelliana than to S. truncata whose filaments are white.

Without the zygomorphic shape of the flower, it would look like S. russelliana.
