SCHLUMBERGERA x BUCKLEYI

Clone 2 Photo 1

I inherited this plant which was grown in the 1940s by a relative.

The general public considers the S. x buckleyi (S. russelliana x S. truncata)

to be the "true" Christmas cactus.

The flower is clearly zygomorphic,

The filaments of the stamens are white like those of S. truncata

while those of the previous photo were pink like those of S. russelliana.

This clone of S. x buckleyi (S. russelliana x S. truncata)

is closer (with regard to the appearance of the flower)

to S. truncata than to S. russelliana.
