MY COLLECTION IN SUMMER AND IN WINTER

As I had no more room in my veranda, I installed a 2.30 m wide and 5.30 m long greenhouse in my garden. The rooftop is about a little more than 2 m high. The greenhouse can be built directly on the levelled ground but for more stability I chose to place it on a concrete slab which I insulated thermically, and to avoid the moisture coming from the soil I use a plastic sheet as well as polystyrene. The concrete slab is surrounded by small gutters to evacuate rainwater which flows down from the roof of the greenhouse.

The general structure is made of aluminum profiles, the vertical panes are made of 4 mm thick simple glass, the roof is made of the same thickness hammered glass; the roof is equipped with four windows (two on each slope of the roof and laid out in staggered rows) which open and close automatically according to the temperature inside the greenhouse. This makes it possible to avoid excessive temperatures when the outside temperature is high.

The opening is done by two sliding doors, at each end of the greenhouse, which makes it possible to create a circulation of air.
