Rémy's Epiphyllum
Photo and collection: Rémy Wuarin.
Rémy's hybrid Epiphyllum has a flower having resemblances, with the hybrids of C. Knebel as well as with 'Ruby Snowflake' for example (by its color in particular).
If we consider the dating given to Rémy by Mrs. R. who had seen the plant in flowers in Turin (Italia) during the Second World War, as accurate, Rémy's Epiphyllum is inevitably 'Heureka' or 'Flore Pleno' or in any case a hybrid Epiphyllum coming from C. Knebel.
If, on the other hand, we consider this dating as possibly inaccurate (It is based on oral testimonies.), Rémy's Epiphyllum can also be 'Ruby Snowflake' or one of the hybrids of W. Cocke's 50th crossbreeding.
But this would suppose an enormous margin of error in the dating, error which seems also improbable.
