And finally, some photos in my collection.
Rémy had sent two cuttings to me in 2010. They spent more than one year to root and the first flower appeared only in 2016! It's what I call a slow growth.

Photo and collection: Michel Combernoux
One will notice the narrowness of the stem, about 40 cm (1.3 ft.) long.
Photo of an open flower a few days later.
Two buds fell, only one opened. The flower has a 14 cm (5.5'') diameter and has approximately 60 petals.
It is, in my opinion, a splendor.

All these photos come from the same plant or cuttings of this plant, Rémy's one. Thus they are photos of the flowers from one clone only.
It will be noticed that, although presenting many resemblances, there is also a great floral variability.
It should be said that Rémy cultivates in altitude in Switzerland, Etienne cultivates in the suburbs of Lille, in the North of France, with a low sunlight and low doses of UV.
It is also the case for me who cultivate in Paris western area with its Atlantic climate, often not very sunny.
But we can nevertheless conclude that Rémy's Epiphyllum is splendid with particular double flowers.
We point out now that, according to Rémy’s information, the plant was in northern Italy in the 1940s.
All that remains for us is the question: which were the known Epiphyllum with double flowers in 1940?
