GROUPE3  : Some Rudolf Heßing Herick hybrids

These are the ones I mentioned in my March 2014 article.


Rudolf Heßing Herick has created Epicactus that flower, if possible, even in winter, which is unusual in Northern Europe.

To achieve this, he has used a Disocactus that is not found in the pedigrees of the hybrids in the previous groups.

This Disocactus is Disocactus anguliger, which I introduced at the beginning of this article.


And here are a few of these hybrids.

So, the mother is: Disocactus anguliger (autumnal flowering)

Disocactus macranthus is the paternal grandfather of this hybrid, as it is the father of Ep. 'Frühlingsgold'.
