First of all, the German word Frühling means Spring.
Hybridizer Kurt Petersen (1916-1993) created a large group of Epicactus
whose names begin with Frühlings.
They bloom in spring, with small to medium-sized flowers and slender, tapering petals (criterion 1▲). The flowers are often fragrant.
In this group, Disocactus macranthus is always the mother or father.
Here are the photos of the 'Frühlings' that are or have been in my collection.
Some of the photos are too old to be of very good quality.
A collector friend of mine, Thierry Le Gallo, provided me with others, for which I'm very grateful.
