In 2007, a friend of mine who collects epiphytic cacti gave me a cutting of this plant under the name of: Epiphyllum guatemalense f. monstrosa”; he also told me that this plant was often proposed on the markets in Asia. This cutting immediately intrigued me by its form. Twisted, it evokes a little bit the stem of an Hylocereus.
Thus, I started to cultivate the plant which, in my collection, grows easily and without problems, except for blossoming which, the first years, was absent.
