The genus x Disophyllum is a genus consisting only of hybrids containing Disocactus (thus botanical species) in their pedigree.
They are often called hybrid Epiphyllum, which is inappropriate, especially if there are only Disocactus in their pedigree.
This is the case of x Disophyllum 'Märzsonne', whose evolution I followed for a few days on a particularly beautiful stem.
The pedigree of this hybrid is Disocactus macranthus x Disocactus phyllanthoides.
Disocactus phyllanthoides was formerly called Nopalxochia phyllanthoides.
