N.B.1 : The Schlumbergera (Zygocactus) which are hybrids of the “exotica” group have ribbed cylindrical stem segments. They are hybrids of Schlumbergera opuntioides (therefore their particular vegetative aspect) with Schlumbergera truncata or Schlumbergera X buckleyi.
N.B.2 : The Schlumbergera (Zygocactus) which are hybrids of the "buckleyi" group ( the Christmas cacti of our grandmothers) are hybrids between Schlumbergera truncata (white stamens) and Schlumbergera russelliana (pink stamens). According to their proximity with one or another of their two parents, some cultivars have pink stamens and others have white stamens ; the colour and the size of the blooms may be also slightly different according to the different cultivars.
