Disocactus macranthus (foto : Alain Laroze) (foto 4)
Epiphyllum x 'George's Favorite' (fotografías 1 y 2) es
un cruce de Disocactus macranthus (especie
botánica a floración invernal como
madre) con un Epiphyllum híbrido llamado 'Christmas Red'
como padre, también a floración invernal.
Este último es resultante de Disocactus eichlamii
como madre (especie botánica a floración
invernal).
Epiphyllum x 'Tiny Flame' (fotografía 3) es el cruce de Epiphyllum x 'Vive Rouge' (como madre) a floración invernal con Disocactus macranthus (como padre), ya citado.
Disocactus macranthus y Epiphyllum x 'George's Favorite' se encontraban entre los antepasados de otros Epiphyllum híbridos que florecieron este invierno 2013/2014 en mi colección.
