HYBRID EPIPHYLLUM (created by Alain Laroze) clone 1.
N.B. : A few years ago Alain Laroze, a friend of mine, gave me seedlings resulting from a sowing which he had made. This sowing came from hybrids which he had obtained by crossing “Disocactus macranthus” with “Epiphyllum x Ackermannii Hybridus”. This last one had the property to also bloom off-season. I didn't realize that I cultivated hybrids which could bloom at unusual periods.
I had the confirmation with the following blooming which I obtained on February 6th, 2014. This time of the year is part of the cold and dark period of the winter in the Paris region where my collection is located.
Thus, I included this hybrid in my article: “Epiphyllum which bloom even in winter” (link at the bottom of the 2014 Epiphyllum gallery).
