*** BLOOMING VARIABILITY ***

******* OF APOROPHYLLUM  X  "HELENA" *******

A cutting of this very rare plant, was very kindly given to me, in 1996, by Holly Gate Cactus nursery, whom I thank here very warmly. Without this cutting, this page would not exist.

A unique clone of Aporophyllum X “Helena” produces flowers having an amazing variability, blooms have sometimes atrophied petals with normal pistil (photo 2) or without visible pistil (photo 1), blooms may also have a standard shape (photo 7). The “intermediate forms” are blooms with more or less narrow and ruffled petals (photographs 3, 4, 5, 6).

In other words, Aporophyllum X “Helena” is a plant which has as beautiful as unforeseeable blooms.
